ABOUT THE ARTIST

From an early age, Claudia Marshall’s artistic goal has always been to create a clear and concise rendering of a subject, be it a child, or a pet. Her life-like child images hang nationwide in parents’ homes, and have been subsequently transferred to the grown child’s own home. This has happened throughout her long career of creating these true gifts of love. Marshall has shown her work in a number of exhibits including Three Women Printers at the Pacific Art League, and The Year of the Horse at Filoli, among other regional shows. Marshall has worked extensively with children throughout her career, initially as a classroom teacher, before the lure of the computer industry drew her to California. She worked in Silicon Valley for twenty plus years, both in the corporate arena and as a free lance marketing communications consultant.
Upon starting her family, Marshall turned to more community oriented areas where she volunteered her time in her children's schools. Art in Action was one of her favorite activities as well as volunteering as a soccer coach for most of her children's early school years. Marshall also volunteered as the Art Room mother for her children’s elementary school where she organized art field trips and a visiting artist series where exceptional local artists either came to the classroom to share their passion or the students paid visits to the artists' studios.
